Finance Committee

The Finance Committee shall be responsible for all matters concerning and affecting the revenues of the City, including, but not limited to, the receipt and expenditure of funds, salaries of City employees, budgetary matters, tax administration and policy, and matters concerning Municipal indebtedness. The Committee shall meet monthly with the Finance Director to monitor cash flow requirements, reviewing estimated revenues and expense appropriations compared to the Certificate of Estimated Resources. Material variances shall be noted to Council. The Committee shall chart a financial plan and five year projection, accounting for capital needs, financial trends of revenue and Municipal improvements. Recommendations to meet financial shortfalls shall be made, as necessary.
